Itinerary

We drive to Perge first. Perge is an extensive greco-roman city. Excavations shows that it has been constantly inhabited since bronze age. It reached its zenith in the 2. century A.D. Today, a rich collection of that period is exhibited in Antalya archeological museum. We visit stadium, helenistic towers, baths, agora and recently restored roman streets. Then we pass on to Side. Side ancient city is settled on a peninsula with lots of remnants date back to Greek and Roman period. With recet excavations Side has become like an open air museum. We walk on the main Street and see Tample of Apollo. We have a refreshing breat at Manavgat falls then carry on to Aspendos to see the best preserved roman theatre in the world. It was built by architect Zeno in 2.century A.D. It has been very well restored and estimated capacity is around 15.000. It hosts annual Opera festivals in the summer. Nearby we see the aquaducts as well. Retun to Hotel.
